Y. Mason wanted to be able to move more, walk more distance, and be less fatigued when doing things. At Riverside Health Fitness Center, Y. Mason was welcomed by a supportive and friendly environment.
“I encountered friendly folks. They seemed to feel my pain, and I felt theirs. Smiling at each other was very encouraging. Hearing other people say that ‘exercising is worth it’ or ‘it’s not that bad’ was encouraging,” says Y. Mason.
Y. Mason has met lots of members in classes or on the fitness floor. When he works with trainers, they always have encouraging words.
“The trainers are great at letting me know that they are seeing improvements even if I may not see it myself. They also are good at showing me that there are many different exercises and machines. They make sure I complete all my exercises correctly. I get out more on days that I come to the gym to workout. It’s a nice change from doctor appointments.”
Y. Mason does not find it as challenging to move around anymore. When asked what he’s learned since joining Riverside Health Fitness Center, Y. Mason says,
“It is an eye opener on what you can and cannot do. You will find that there is more that you can do than what you cannot.”
